I am really going work tomorrow!

I have been waiting for my boss at the new job to call me. He said he will after the Hari Raya holiday (thursday) so when he haven’t by Friday, I was worried.

It gets worst when people start asking me when I am starting work and I have to say I don’t know, I don’t know if I am getting to job or not.

But finally, on a Sunday morning, he sms-ed he asking me to start tomorrow at 10am!

Quite a huge relief to finally hear from him. But at the same time, it also means no more slacking around, it’s real work..it may just be my last day of worry-free and carefree (sorta) day.

It’s exciting yet scary all together.

It’s a lovely, lovely day, the sun is warm and of a pale yellow. I wish I was at the beach, which I was..but at night.

It’s was Jiajun’s birthday yesterday! Happy birthday JJ boy! Not that he will read my blog anyway. It was dinner at Outback and then Sentosa. We climbed into this locked up jetty area and the boys and some girls did an impromptu dipping. It was a funny sight, suddenly this bunch of people just rip their clothes off and jump into the water like there’s a fire at the jetty or something! Haha..

Well yesterday was fun, I hope tomorrow will be good too!

F1 race

I watched the full F1 race on TV just now. I know nuts about F1 but as a typical Singaporean, don’t lose out. Since it’s a huge deal the first F1 night race is held in Singapore, I got to see what the huge fuss is about. The only exciting parts to me was the accidents.

I should sleep soon, I am waking up early for my interview at Redhill tomorrow. This is my third interview, of cos I hope I can a job finally but I don’t know, I am never really looking forward to post-interviews. I do hope I can getthis job though, as permanent staff or intern, it’s a very good company.

I have decided to get a Moleskin journal for next year. I am getting it tomorrow.

Father’s birthday

It was father’s birthday yesterday but we celebrated it today.

My father don’t fancy big celebrations of expensive dinners or presents so it was just strawberry cheesecake and a cycling trip to the nearby fish farm and plant farm.

It was about time my Morning Glories seedlings get a new home.

I made that little device out of chopsticks. It looks like a nice little home for flowers or tomatoes.

Everyone loves my phone because it looks so pretty. I want to love it too but it’s so lacky and difficult to use I feel like stomping on the phone and make sure none of that touch-screen is functioning.

I miss buttons. I can’t message while walking. I can’t message with one hand.

I watched ‘Babel’ today. Awesome, awesome movie. It reminds me very much of ‘Crash’. One of those film reminding us how cruel, lonely and sometimes how aimless we are on planet earth. It makes me think about the world as whole, take a step back and see even if our own little world is perfect, the universe as a whole isn’t.

So many times I tell myself, if life is just about living for the sake of living and aimless at the end of this life, I rather don’t live it. There’s so much crazy shit so why bother to bear with it without a lesson at the end of it?

So life is without a purpose is..just not worth living.

Favourite Indian left

Audrey left yesterday. There wasn’t much crying at the airport but there was while I was on the bus on the way to work. I was lucky there wasn’t much people on the bus yet when I boarded it. But I suppose the old man behind me, on the opposite seats thought my boyfriend or mother just left me.

Audrey gave me eight presents in total, it was so exciting! I never had so many presents to open at once, that is all mine (because I open my mother’s Teachers’ Day presents).

Presents from Audrey

No there wasn’t any Agnes B. presents, there was a hidden meaning behind that BAG. And I am pretty sure Audrey is hinting me I should never find love when she is not around with this, or she wants to take this chance to get rid of me:

Where to find love

The last present was a journal Audrey Dearest Almighty B started months ago till before she leaves. That really made me cried and had black eyeliner all over my face.

We spent our last day together (Monday) watching ‘Knocked Up‘ at her house. It was suppose to be a museum trip but the rainy weather felt more like a day to stay home and have a movie marathon. But the marathon was only one movie. We bought food and cooked pasta. My initial idea was the snuggle under the blanket and have nicely garnish finger food within our reach (I visit too much marthastewart.com) but that didn’t happen, it was sitting at the dining table and watching the movie on her MacBook Pro.

I will miss you so much Audrey! 4 years, please don’t forget your Hong Kong friend. I will let you know before hand if I get married with kids or move back to my motherland.

My mother is 52

Birthday mom

Yes that’s right, my mother is 52 today. My mother is one hard mother to get presents for so I did the tradition presents: I got three mini cakes for us (my sister is away in Korea), flowers and made a card (left of pic). I drew an elephant looking down at a birthday cake.

I love elephants, I love animals. I don’t really know when my fascination for elephants started actually. I just thought ‘elephant, elephant’ was a cute MSN nick. It’s been there forever and now I known as Sally or elephant.

I found this online zine called ‘The Plug‘, it’s really interesting and quite inspiring actually.

I got to sleep early tonight, I am working at 9am tomorrow and yes it’s still Starbucks for now.
