200GB

Sally · Friday, January 26th, 2007, 2:04 pm · Comments (0)

I just woke up. I wanted to stay up to do my packaging. My Illustrator shut down on me when I was about to complete one of my packaging structure. I was sooooooooo pissed. I was so excited about completing my work.

Then I got damn pissed so I went to change my bedsheets at 4am. I wanted to change my bedsheet for awhile already. By the time I changed the mattress sheet (?), I was so tired so I slept on an empty bed.

Woke up at 6am and grabbed a pillow and my blanket and slept on till 12.30pm.

I emailed my host, about the space. See, when I signed up, it was $6 for 6GB of space. Now, it’s $6 for 200GB of space. I asked them would we be upgraded. AND..they upgraded me! Now I have 200GB of space bitches!

Yay. Ok off to do my work.

Grow up

When I was young, all I wanted was to be with my family forever. Despite all the fuck shits the world throws at us/me, I wanted to help them grow.

When I was 16, nothing but more shit happened and so I tried to hurry things.

When I was 18, everything backfired and everyone hated me. I gave up trying, I don’t want to live their lives anymore.

I am fucking lonely but at least it doesn’t hurt over at this side.

My sister is a brave girl, she sat through my parents’ venting shit sessions while I ran off to pretend to do something normal like bathe and went off and cry.

I don’t hate my parents, I just gave up feeling sorry for them or myself.

Today was bad but yesterday was worst.

I complied the Bangkok photos into an album, it’s look good :) I want to stay in Bangkok forever, never come back. Or I should have stayed in Cambodia.

HBO

Sally · Monday, January 22nd, 2007, 1:31 am · Comments (1)

I typed an entry and it got erased. Is my blog taking damn long to load? Cos it’s on my com..I don’t know whether it’s my internet or my host lacking.

Anyway, I finally got HBO on cable and actually that not very good because I will be stucked in front of the TV forever. I was suppose to be doing my work at 6.30pm and then I had to go for dinner. Then:

1. It’s ‘Lords of Dogtown’ on HBO during dinner.
2. Then it’s ‘The Spongebob Squarepants Movie’.
3. Then it’s CSI Sunday! Which I never miss unless I work. It’s 3 CSI episodes in a row.
4. Then it’s then movie ‘Junior’, the one where Arnold Schwarzenegger is pregnant, damn cute. And I still like him as an actor than a governor. It’s still damn wierd when I see him talking about politics on the news.
5. Then it’s ‘Daylight’. I love that movie.
See, that’s what I did tonight.

My Tamagotchi envolved! It’s an adult now, means it’s ready for sex! Hohohoo. I sound damn sick right? NO, I just want my next generation of electronic pets. My monster is damn cute, it looks like Pikachu. It was a flying bird once now it’s a land animal.

So, get a Tamagotchi today and have fun like me and Kim!

Ok I am getting down to work now. I think I will go collect my Bangkok photos tomorrow. It will cost me $86.60. Quite a heart pain. Well too bad I don’t have a DSLR but I still like film the best, more shiok when you take it. Unless you screw up their film then that’s not very fun. I got this pretty photo album for it! Yay.

It better come out good cos it’s going into my portfolio. And Raintree replied me, they are not looking for interns at the moment. BOOOOOOO. See who will reply me next.

And thank you Audrey for bringing my Fancy Papers down and a complimentary bag.

It’s Friday again, not very nice

Sally · Friday, January 19th, 2007, 1:13 am · Comments (3)

It’s Friday again. It’s the 3rd week of school actually, it’s too fast..I haven’t got anything done.

I had SIP on my mind again..I talked to my sister and felt better. I am not going overseas anymore. I really wanted to go badly but no money..apparently my parents are broke, super broke. Dad is going back China this April so well, no money at all. I wouldn’t be able to save enough in time. And, it would be pretty dangerous to go Bangkok alone since the company I want to apply at is probably not near Kim’s house.

So it’s Singapore in the end..I wish I had money and can go oversea like all those rich kids. Damn you.

I am trying at Mediacorp’s Raintree, I just emailed them, I hope they reply.

Yay, I made friends with Kim’s Tamagotchi! She named it Paris and it is a bimbo. We are having fun and Kim can’t wait till they are 4 so they can have sex and mate. All she can think about is the sex. She is a horny girl.

We (Justin, Andrew, Kim and I) were at Mensa eating. We were all playing with digimons and Tamagotchis each. We ate near the entrance and everyone stared at us. We looked like a butch of design losers so Justin took out his cigarettes and put it on the table..we are some cool shit design students..playing with toys that’s all.

So I need to get down to work soon, with my Alternative and Packaging. My mother doesn’t approve me of doing Photography. She doesn’t like me wasting money and time on it. She says there’s no future if I do photography. So what makes graphic design or advertising any better? I am sticking to what I want.

Ok I better go, this is a very intelligent convo I had with Chai in the library:

Me: If you were on a deserted island, you would want me to be there cos I can cook.
Chai: Why would I need you when there are so many desserts around?

And he ran off.

Not cool

I rewrote this damn thing 3 times. My internet is damn slow.

Kim and I bought the stupidest thing:

Tama

Yes, it’s a Tamagotchi! All the boys in school are playing Digimon. Kim and I felt left out so it’s Tamagotchi for us. It’s like my childhood dream to own one and now I can afford one myself. But then again, when you are old enough to earn your own money, why are you playing with it?Anyway, Kim and I only have each other to make friends and mate with (the damn chick not us).

Btw, wanted to post this long ago but was too busy. Justin boy got me this for Christmas. This is the cutest present I ever got:

House 1

House 2

Thanks! :) Really.

Ok I am off to do my work. I panic when Nancy send us email about SIP (attachment) and then I panicked again when I went to check out Ping’s new work.

So now I am stressed out, then I have to study for CMC. I haven’t studied since O levels.

Submissions

Sally · Thursday, January 11th, 2007, 3:06 am · Comments (2)

I submitted my Packaging assignment today. While other schools study for exams, we constantly rush for submission. The adrenaline rushes for other schools are while you are on the bus, doing last minute revisions on the bus, walking in to the lecture threatre for the paper..Our adrenaline rushes are staying up all night to complete your design, on the cab to school and planning what to get from the bookshop like mounting boards, the walk to the print shop and back, cursing and swearing Illustrator shuts down abruptly while you are completely your design..

I don’t like doing design assignments cos you do it at home and I am not very self-motivated. While photography is different, you do everything in school or outdoors and go to Fotohub.

Basically I have nothing to type about.

I slept from 8pm to 2am just now.

The year has been good so far..like it isn’t just good good cos you grew taller or something (no, I didn’t) but I enjoy school, I like my friends, I have friends, I get to eat nice food in school, I like my job, I don’t mind waking up at 7.20am to go school, I have nice clothes to wear, I just packed my room, I have a big table, I like my blanket, I can be late for class..and I am at peace with my mind about my SIP and portfolio.

Have a good day.

Heroes

Sally · Monday, January 8th, 2007, 9:43 pm · Comments (2)

So there wasn’t school today. I woke up at 9.45am (surprisingly I woke up), cooked for myself cheese ham and scrambled eggs and got to work. I started on my Packaging Design work. I would have completed all my other work by now if I didn’t watch many many ‘CSI’ and ‘Heroes’ online.

I just started watching ‘Heroes’ today. It’s an awesome show! It’s quite heavy though..alittle dark. It’s about different people with super powers and how their lives intertwine. Really interesting.

I need to start doing my work. I came up with a system, to finish something and then award myself (like cat getting some Whiskas treat and Whiskas is that cat food brand but ANYWAY) with a episode.

I really need to do my Packaging Design work since I am working tomorrow night and the deadline is the next day. Goodbye and have a good day. Anyone enjoyed my Bangkok entry? That took a long time to write.

Bangkok trip and counting downs

Sally · Sunday, January 7th, 2007, 11:15 pm · Comments (6)

Yay, I am finally updating..I know I know. I am just lazy and busy. I have been trying to finish this Bangkok entry for a whole week already.

Anyway, I had a blast in Bangkok, I enjoyed every moment of it..including the part we missed our flight..haha. School just started this week. It’s alright..I have boring classmates, all chicken soup (haha, inside joke/ theory).

Ok let’s start the Bangkok story.

Day 1 - 27th Dec
We arrived in Bangkok and took some pictures:

BBK2

BBK1

We arrive in Bangkok in the evening and check in our hotel - Taipan Hotel.

BBK3

And our room:

BBK4

There wasn’t much to do except clubbing so we went to this (apparently) famous club called “Hollywood Awards”. We cabbed down, the bouncers opened the doors for us..like damn cool. It sounded awesome from outside with the the R&B music. The entry is by buying bottles of hard liquor called Red Label (which well, was some fake stuff).

Upon entering, there wasn’t any dance floors just tables and tables and tables. It is more like a pub. They played like all kind of music like Tata Young and Shakira. They are damn cool man, they even play MTV when those songs are play..like those downloaded from the net. Damn funny! When they play those like unknown songs, they will fade the program into some Thai breakdancing. Then there was performances! Damn wierd man. They have like hot dancers, singers and a bapok who is the star of the place. Then they have boy bands! Haha one of them is called “Spy Band”. Everytime the hip-hop boy band comes on, everyone turns away.

There was this floor manager (Dit? I think that’s how you spell?) that really took care of us. Like we will bring the girls to the restroom, take care of our needs and all.

It got really boring after a while, the performances lasted like an hour. We were quite disappointed with the night until Dit took us to the front of the stage/ podium. The performances ended by then. That was when the night started to get reaaaaaaally fun. All their music are like those crazy techno songs. Woah it was damn fun man..crazy dancing, hot girls dancing on the podium. Dit cornered an area for us..he was really damn nice man. It was a blast..Dit took care of us, even seeing us off. OH, he gave us posters and calendar of the club!

Day 2 - 28th Dec
We woke up early, in time for the hotel buffet breakfast! It was ok, they had really nice scramble eggs and had very cold sausages.

BBK5

Then we went shoooooooopping! We took the LRT to Siam Square to shop. We dropped by Siam Paragon before that and found Gen on sale! It’s Gugu! It’s Gen and her signature lips.

BBK6

The girls shopped like mad. We took 2 days just to finish a small section, it was damn crazy shopping, everything was soooooo cheap. I never before like pick something off the rack without thinking twice.

Then at night, we went for massage! We found a decent/ proper (you know, some shops comes with EXTRA! services) place.

BBK8

We all did the Thai massage that last an hour. My masseur was the damn senior one. It was damn ticklish initially, especially the thighs and she pressed damn damn daaaamn hard. Everyone made a damn lot of noise..it was damn funny man. The guys was shouting nonsensical stuff. Then my masseur almost broke me into half. She twisted me around the waist, it was damn painful man. The part she cracked all my bones was damn shiok though. I never had whole back and fingers cracked..every bones was cracked.Day 3 - 29th Dec
We woke up at around 11am and went for a morning massage. We went back to the same place. Me and Per did the body scrub.

Then we went back to Siam Square area and did more shopping. The shopping was heaven man.

At night, we went for dinner at a restaurant. Our first meal at a high class place. It was a seafood place..the food was just so-so.

BBK7

And the highlight of the day: BUGS NIGHT! We bought all the bugs in this put push-cart near our hotel. We played poker and loser was treated to the bugs…many many bugs, whatever amount we placed as stakes.

There were frogs, silkworms, black cockroaches, MEGA brown cockroaches and some flies. The worst was the MEGA brown cockroach. I was the first one to eat it. It bit it into half and you can’t believe the amount of brown juice that spilled out. Damn gross. Andy and Yeronn ate the mooooost.

BBK9

Zech gets to finish up all like 20 over pieces because it’s his birthday and he lost the final round. He gets to pair it with Dunkin’ Donuts so that’s pretty good already. Haha. He puked on our room’s carpet in the end.

Day 3 - 30th Dec
It’s our last day. We woke up in the late morning. Gen flew home in the morning already. Our flight was at night.

We headed to Chatuchak, the mega big market place. I shopped with Andy and Per. Andy is damn good at bargaining. We didn’t get much stuff cos we didn’t manage to find our way into the nice to shop part. The other boys went and got nice stuff. BOOOO. But we met a cute guy! :)

Then we headed back to the hotel, ate and headed to the airport.

To cut the long story short, we realised we missed our flight when we reached the airport. We couldn’t get a refund or a replacement flight. We went looking for another flight but there wasn’t any cos it’s NYE the next day, all flight went fully booked..unless you just like some first class ticket which we couldn’t afford.

In the end, we decide to take a plane to Hat Yai, Southern Thailand and then decide from there. we could take a bus or take a plane back home. AND make it back for NYE.

We camped at the airport cos we can only book the tickets at 5am.

We celebrated Zech’s birthday..like a proper one. It was still his birthday in Thai time. Bboy gets a proper small cake.

BBK10

Day 4 - 31st Dec
By the time we reach Hat Yai, it was the next day, around 10am plus. We found we could get a flight back in the afternoon at 2pm. Then we went to eat. When we wanted to book the flight, we realised it was all sold out or the price was $1000. SO, we only had one choice left: to take a 15 hour bus back to Singapore.

BBK11

We got our tickets, and pretty soon was taken to the coach.

BBK12

ROAD TRIP!

The coach look spacious and comfy but noooooo there was gum at my seat. There was a “No shitting” at the back of bus. The bus ride back was an adventure. We was always the last to get up the bus at peak stops and the driver will honk like maddddd, like maddd, non-stop.

We had fun in the bus. There was once I needed to pee soooooo fucking badly. Like seriously, my blabber almost like died. I told the driver I needed the toilet..in the end, I waited 3 hours for it. It was a tough to live by 3 hours man.We slept alot of the bus. We witnessed an accident..ok the after-accident, the blood and stuff. And we counted down in the dark on the bus..well, there’s barely lights on the streets of Malaysia. The countdown was funny, we couldn’t get the radio to work, we had so many watches and clock so we didn’t know which one to follow. No one joined in the fun with us on the bus, the other passengers were all sleeping. We toasted each other with Tomato and Curry Twisties damn sad man but at least we had each other.

Then Gen’s mother messaged us about the Bangkok bombings. It was scary..we almost stayed on. It took me quite a while to digest it..narrow escape.

We reached Singapore around 4.30am.

That’s the end of the very long entry. But last but not least, a tribute to Gugu..who was the source of our inspiration for many of our pictures. Click on it.

BBK13

And I still have my films to develop for more pictures, stay tune kids.
